Blue Monday? Mine was red, black and leopardy!

Blue Monday, schmue Monday! My day was alright, ta v much. How was yours? I've actually been doing a cracking job on the exercise and haven't been eating TOO badly and I had a lovely weekend so, really, there's owt to shout about. Plus, despite a cheeky wee spot, I had one of those days where your outfit comes together nicely and you just feel, well, good. Gotta love that, right?

Also, I managed to sneak in pair of shoes # 46, these little flats by Irregular Choice from Schuh.

They're proper old skool Irregular Choice from back in 2002/3ish. I don't wear them that often so they haven't died. I imagine if I wore them loads, they'd have packed in long ago as they're the most gorgeous, delicate Chinese looking silk/satin. And I love the old Irregular Choice 'bum toe' - I know they really divide people (like they divide my toes - they don't really), but I'm a fan. Split the toe full on like on a Nike Rift though and you lose me - that's just weird!

Leopardy:

Dress: New Look, Cardi: Warehouse, Hairband: Primark, Necklace: Topshop, Belt: H&M, leggings: ASOS, Shoes: Irregular Choice @ Schuh.
I got this little dress last week in New Look - I couldn't resist the cute leopard print collar! I've already worn it a couple of times so I think it is going to have been a wise investment. Especially as I now plan to TRY to cut back on the shopping this year in favour of saving for holidays. Plus, it's nicer not to be frittering the cash on disposable fashion, isn't it.

Some other cheeky wee bargains here! The necklace I've had for ages (hence the missing stone!), the belt I got free, sort of - it was a gift card purchase, the heart ring was £2.40 as part of a set of three in the Accessorize, and the gorgeous owl was £2.10 also from Accessorize! I got another amazing ring there the same day for £2.40 so that was £6.90 in total AND I had a £5 gift voucher too. I must say, I'm an absolute sucker for a bargain and it's even better when it's something I'd planned to buy anyway - I'd admired the owl ring a few times but vetoed it based on price. It's amazing what 70% off will do to a girl...

International Leopard Print day!

Woo! We decided at work that we would have a leopard print day. Partly because it's nearly Halloween and it felt suitably dress up (well, for everyone else. I felt kind of every day if I'm honest!) and partly because we had a discussion about our sadness at the lack of patterned and coloured legs on our website so we thought we should have a day of extreme pattern! And here we are - we even got the boys involved (well one of them):

I'm very lucky because my colleagues are as lovely as they are gorgeous and they're awesome to work with. Aw! And we have genius photographers who can edit out spots. Bazing!

I can't possibly give you a run down of all the outfits but I hope you agree that they're freakin' awesome and we made a good effort! Anyway, on to me, me, me! Haha! The cardi's a Warehouse one and the belt is from Urban Outfitters. My dress is an H&M one I got in the summer. I staked out H&M stores like a mad woman to get it after seeing it in a magazine, not realising that it was going to be see through. Oh well, I leoparded it up for today by wearing leopard leggings underneath to preserve my modesty and everyone else's blushes. It'd have been rude not to commit to the cause of the leopard too. Here's a close up of the very lovely neck detail:

The dress was a fairly bargainous £14.99 and, in spite of it's see throughness I couldn't resist it when I finally found it! Plus, I'm definitely the chicest person on the beach in it in summer!

And then it's on to the shoes (can you tell I'm short on time? I feel this is slightly lacking in my usual rambling/shambling style!). Number 31!! They're a new purchase and I'm ever so excited about them. Some people think they're ridiculous and small men fear them as they can't handle my height (not much shy of 6"2 with them on. Mr Scribbler is 6"2 though so it's fine - I'm slightly below him) but I do not care - I think they're all the more amazing for it. Lookee!

Woo, they're enormous!! E-N-O-R-M-O-U-S! And surprisingly squishy. I got them from the slightly sexual sounding 'Fashion Nights' on eBay on half price sale for £22.49. A relative bargain, I feel! Hairy, leopardy, wedge-tastic, peep toed, what's not to love?!

Right lovelies, I must rush! Got a girl's night in date and I believe I can hear the gin calling my name!!

Whatchoo mean my ankle's all Nora Batty?!

See that's the thing with tights - no matter what I do they go all Nora Batty at the ankle. And I find myself either nipping to the loo to hike them up or trying to discreetly tug them up under my desk. And, dear readers, I don't do discrete. My version of discreet pulling up involves hoiking and grunting and general inappropriate flashing - I tell thee - pretty it ain't!

Now here's the thing (well two things). I like to think that my tights don't look quite as criminal as poor old Nora, gawd bless 'er. However, unfortunately, due to Blogger being a GIANT DOUCHE, I can't update the one picture that shows my wrinkle-tastic ankle to its best effect. So you'll have to just take my word for it and assume I'm not trying to be coy or self deprecating. Douche. Anyway, at the bottom of my wrinkled ass tights are shoes #28. Irregular Choice from schuh:

Here's me kicking my feet at the ceiling for the sake of 'art'. Rest assured I wasn't doing anything raunchy at the time. Who wants to hear the second "Blogger's a douche" bummer? The only decent shot of the heels is on a picture Blogger won't load. Arrrgh!! And it's a sexy heel! They're brown kinda faux snake, a bit chunky and just have the most delicious curve to them. Yum! And I haven't even started on the fact that the shoes are leopard print...

Or that they have a ma-HOO-sive bow on them! LOOK AT IT. It's giant and filled with, er, brown foam. Ok, that's not exactly a selling point but at least the brown blends in and you're still left with a big solid leopard print bow. They're a treat. The other thing that's tricky to see is the gold metallic brogue detail trim around the top line. However, you are lucky enough to be able to see the snake trim around the featherline. Check it out - do you feel like you're totally learning technical shoe terms from me? I can hit you with more if you like...who's for a vamp, a counter or a shank? Woop, woop! Here's what I wore these totally beast-a-licious shoes with (MENTAL EYE ALERT!):

Yes, leopard was a print too few for me so I went for two bold floral prints on top. Floral trench from Primark, floral dress vintage reproduction from Judy's Affordable Vintage fair.

Sans coat, there's a leopard print Warehouse cardigan. It was one of those pieces I um-ed and aw-ed over for bloody ages (indecisive, me?) as it cost more than I normally spend on a cardi. But, what an investment. I've worn it about a million times to the point it's getting a bit threadbare in places. Do I care? Do I heck! I'll wear it til the arms fall off and even then I might sew them back on again. I'm also wearing my much loved Lady Luck Rules ok horseshoe necklace which has snapped in half and had a broken chain but, much like the cardigan, I am NOT giving this baby up. It's one of my most favourite necklaces ever so it's been tweezered and super glued back to life. You might be able to see it better if Blogger wasn't a DOUCHE and would upload the picture.

Here's a picture of the dress fabric. Pretty! By the way, before I go watch Gossip Girl and get my freak on to Chuck, I have to share something. I've been shortlisted in the final 10 of a journalism competition with Cosmo and Wonderbra. There'll be some voting action in a week and I'll be sure to put the details here in the hope that someone thinks I'm worth voting for!! Eek!

Oh Little Scribbler weez all zeez posts you are truly spoiling uz!

Uh-huh you better believe it. 4 posts in one day! The thing is, I was in Alton Towers at the end of last week and, frankly, when you're on the world's first vertical drop roller coaster, the last thing on your mind is blogging. So I have a build up of pictures of shoe wearage waiting to go up here. Ladies and gentlemen, here is pair # 14 from schuh. Oh, oh yes, and # 15 too, Havaianas, also from schuh. Two pairs in one day people. I'm a shoe slut!

The first shoes are this pretty leopard print pair. They're mid height (soooo a/w '10) with a delicious almond shaped toe. They're satiny (but not in a cheap way) leopard print, trimmed with burgundy grosgrain edging and bow. Adorable. The heel is slightly conical and is burgundy patent. S'cuse the heel scrapage - Edinburgh pavements and cobbles are a bitch.

And she wore 'em with...a Primark wrap around dress I've had for ages. I love this dress - it makes me think of old school cleaning ladies who wore kinda turban things. Maybe I'll rock it with a headscarf next time. Does anyone else feel as though, if they suddenly try to work a headscarf, having never worn one before, they'll look like a twat? Yes, no? Just me? Anyway, I added a leopard print Warehouse cardigan for the match/clash factor and a black vest/leggings for decency's sake. People just don't give enough credence to decency these days...The combo is topped off with a bejewelled Topshop snake necklace.

Ssss!

And finally - with the gold Havaianas. I wear these all the flipping time and never picture them. I just forget! Anyway, my leg was doing something weird and I needed to go out so the heels were ditched and the flip flops taken up! Good times. Flip flop and you don't stop. And I should stop. Stop.

I don't Bet-Lynch it!

So, me and Bet Lynch well pissed ourselves with glee when we heard that leopard print is the word on the lips and print on the backs of the fabulous amongst us this a/w. I'll be honest, I'm a wee bit torn - should I be glad to have a huge amount of the stuff to choose from, in the way that Alex James picked from groupies and models in Blur's heyday, or should I be miffed that everyone's wearing me and Bet's numero uno print of choice? Hmm, I think I'll go with the Alex option and pick up all I can - grrr!

Here's my pick of some of the new and coming soon leopard lovelies getting me salivating...

I L-O-V-E this hat that's on the accessories page of the Toppers website. Shame said retailer didn't think it was worth replying to lil ol' me when I tweeted to ask them when it'd be in...SHAME on you Topshop!

Now being, as Gok would put it, a juicy pear, I'm a little scared of jumpsuits. All too often if it fits on top, it's straining around my ample behind in a most unflattering fashion. However, this little lovely is wide legged (Gok would approve) and, therefore, may skim said glorious behind. I think I just talked myself into buying it...hello, Miss Selfridge, you got something I want!

These are my absolute must have boots for the season. They're due into schuh very soon and I officially cannot wait! They're Clarks and that's classic, innit? But they're also leopardy and hairy and there's my twist. I shall be watching the website in hot anticipation waiting for them to appear. Oh, can you just picture Richard Ashcroft in a pair of these...

It's a dress, it's leopard, it looks cosy, it'll look cute right through winter. What's not to love? Warehouse, if you're interested.
Ouch! These are amazing! Killer heel (I used to live in Middlesbrough and some guy was actually stabbed to death with a white stiletto. FACT - heels can actually be killer!), leopard (obv), stomping platform and perfectly sized peep toe. Topshop are selling these ones...

For now, it's over and out from Bet and I - we're off to the rovers for a bevvie. However, I'll be back with a run down of all the leopard print loveliness I already have that I'll be rocking/resurrecting this a/w!
